Bit Errror - Artist

This is a website designed for Bit Errror who is an NFT artist.
The goal was to showcase his work and link it to his online shop as well as educate users on NFTs and collate his media appearances.

"The entire process, from onboarding, through all the communication during the process, wireframes, explanatory videos, email exchanges to define the page, seemed fabulous to me, agile and in general very fast, the website was built quickly and efficiently." - Bit Errror

A Glimpse of What It’s Like to Work with Me

"I had the pleasure of working with Melissa on several website projects, where I was the Project Manager and she was the Head of Development. From day one, Melissa impressed me with her technical expertise and her ability to lead her team with kindness and care. She not only delivered amazing work but also went above and beyond to ensure both the team and the clients were supported every step of the way. Her leadership created a space where everyone felt valued, and her dedication to quality made every project better.Melissa is the kind of person you want on your team; she’s talented and genuinely invested in the success of everyone around her. I can’t recommend her enough!"
When I think about the conference, I don't just think about the amazing neurodiversity session we delivered, but I also think about the rehearsal session we did together. 8 supportive people in a room, just helping each other be ourselves in whatever way we needed at that point in time. Makes my heart warm. Dream team.

Thank you for facilitating the creation of the Neurodiversity Guild. I think we can make a real difference for people with interesting and cool neurodiversities within iTech, and you were the one of the first people to suggest getting together to do something about it.

FAQs

My most frequently asked questions answered

How long does it take?

On average, it takes about one month to go from onboarding to launch. This is dependent on the communication speed between the client and I.

What is a shop fee

When you set up a e-commerce website you will encounter shop fees from the platform you use. Usually, the e-commerce itself and your payment provider like Stripe. Each will have its own % so you should consider this when pricing your products.

Why don't you build on WordPress

WordPress is an open-source project that anyone can access. So, for example, hackers can go into the code base, identify any cracks in the system and use that to exploit WordPress users. WordPress sites are amongst the most hacked in the world.

Despite this, 70% of the web uses WordPress because it is free. In its infamy, it was designed as a blogging platform; it was not designed to do what it is used for now. If you want to make a website that sells products or services then you can but you will have to buy plugins or services that allow you to do that. By installing 3rd party themes and plugins your site can become bloated which makes it extremely difficult to improve the loading speed which is a big SEO detriment as it is a key metric to which Google will rank your site.

How easy is it to edit?

It is easy to edit your site. Simply add ?edit to the end of your URL and log in. Once you have logged in you will be able to:
1. Update all the content
2. Update all the images
3. Add/Edit CMS items
4. Edit the settings of each page
5. See form data
6. Edit the favicon

You can check out what it is like to edit a site here.

Why I don’t offer SEO packages

Many other companies solely focus on SEO, and it is in its own right its own thing. I can help you find the right SEO company and will help as much as I can with the process.

That being said each website we build we cover any technical SEO such as:
- Making sure pages are indexable
- Adding Meta Titles and Description to pages
- Adding alt text to images
- Fixing broken links
- Adding redirects

What is best to message you or email you

E-mail is always prefered method of connection because it is easier to keep track and it helps with boundaries of working hours.

What is hosting with help

Website hosting is paying for the server to host your website, somewhere in the world your website files live on a server which is on 24/7. You or your web provider must pay for this service to keep it available for people to access.

I provide help to update your website or to give you ideas on how you could make it better. This includes: Updating content, updating images, adding new sections to pages and fixing any bugs.

New pages will be separately priced.

How does payment work?

After a quote is agreed, the payment process will work in milestones or as a fixed monthly fee over 12 or 18 months.

Why do I create new content?

If you have had a website previously it is likely that your website content hasn’t been updated in quite some time. During this time your company has grown and evolved and your target audience might have changed. While we can take essential content from your previous site we will write new content that you will sign off before it goes live.

Why do I give you tutorial videos?

There is nothing worse than being handed a new website and then having no idea how to change or update it.

When you launch a site with me you will also get tutorial videos that you will be able to access 24/7, which will take you through how to update your site and how to request something new.

Therefore, you are not waiting for me to update it for you.

Still have questions?

I would love to hear them.
